From the beginning, there is a real question: how to visualize the front and the back of a watch in a single gesture? The answer: By filling the negative joints with material.

By materializing the empty spaces between different components oscillating weight, hammer, chime, anchor and tulip …), a skeletal piece is created, reduced to the essential. With these visible mechanisms showcasing the interior landscape of this ultra thin watch, it becomes a didactic and mobile installation that structures the space like a screen.

Au départ, il y a une véritable interrogation : comment visualiser le devant et l’arrière d’une montre en un seul geste ? La réponse: En remplissant les joints négatifs par de la matière.

En matérialisant les espaces vides entre les différents composants (masse oscillante, marteau, carillon, ancre, tulipe…), il naît une forme de pièce squelettique, réduite à l’essentiel. En faisant apparaître ces mécanismes comme le paysage intérieur de cette montre ultra thin, elle devient une installation didactique et mobile qui vient structurer l’espace à la manière d’un paravent.
