Paper Flood

For the 1st edition of the independant paper show we need to occupy the Bâtiment des Forces in Geneva with a set-up in only 8 hours and a removing process in 2 hours, the day of the show. Inspired by the turbines of the BFM that used to manage the water we asked what if the paper could flow out instead of water and see what can happen.

The large scale installation is made by bending standard colored paper only laser cutted with side holes that help you to be fast on connecting the parts with a paper clip. Same details are used to create the grid by flipping 1 of 2 of the bended paper in order to create multicolored self standing grid.

To keep the spirit of paper, we used cardboard for creating desks and signals to give each exhibitors a surface to expose, to store, bags hooks and an identity pole.

Pour la 1ère édition du Independant Paper Show, nous devions occuper le Bâtiment des Forces à Genève avec un montage en seulement 8 heures et un démontage en 2 heures, le jour du spectacle. Inspirés par les turbines du BFM nous nous sommes demandé si le papier pouvait s’écouler à la place de l’eau et voir ce qui pouvait arriver.

L’installation à grande échelle est réalisée en pliant le papier de couleur standard découpé au laser avec des trous latéraux qui vous permettent  la connexion facile des pièces avec une attache parisienne. Les mêmes détails sont utilisés pour créer la grille en retournant 1 pièce sur 2 du papier plié afin de créer une grille autoportante multicolore.

Pour conserver l’esprit du papier, nous avons utilisé du carton pour créer des présentoirs, de la signalétique et donner ainsi à chaque exposant une surface pour exposer, stocker, accrocher des sacs ainsi qu’ un poteau d’identité.
