One often wonders which chicken or egg appeared first. However is the important thing not elsewhere, namely in the welfare of the animal? Thus, by pushing the reflection a little further, it could be argued that quality food begins with quality breeding.

For the Swiss Pavilion of the Universal Expo in Milan, it was decided to create a musical henhouse – this one softening the music softens the mores, doesn’t it? – according to the not so bad idea of ​​a farmer who claimed to have increased the production of his chickens by 18% thanks to this method. We created a music box with 144 notes. In an exhibition that wanted to play with food prejudices (Eat with your eyes), the idea here was to create irony while playing with the usual codes.

The henhouse is all that is real, as neat as the body of an acoustic guitar, hens have never been so well-housed. After the Universal Expo, the box has now found a life at a nursery in Lausanne.

On se demande souvent qui de la poule ou de l’œuf est apparu en premier. Mais l’important n’est-il pas ailleurs, à savoir dans le bien-être de l’animal ? Ainsi, en poussant la réflexion un peu plus loin, on pourrait avancer qu’une nourriture de qualité commence par un élevage de qualité.

Pour le Pavillon suisse de l’Expo universel de Milan, il a été décidé de créer un « poulailler musical » – celle-ci adoucissant les mœurs, non ? –, d’après l’idée pas saugrenue d’un paysan ayant assuré avoir augmenté de 18% la production de ses poules de cette manière. On a ainsi créé une boîte à musique comprenant 144 notes. Dans une exposition qui voulait jouer avec les préjugés alimentaires (Eat with your eyes), l’idée ici était de créer de l’ironie tout en se jouant des codes habituels.

Le poulailler est tout ce qu’il y a de plus réel, aussi soigné que la caisse d’une guitare acoustique, les poules n’ont jamais été aussi bien logées, et la boîte a désormais trouvé une nouvelle fonctionnalité auprès d’une crèche de la région lausannoise.
